Support Requests

Inquiries & Requests should be sent to infocomm@umd.edu. Please note that most requests take at least two weeks to complete, and four weeks if professional printing is required. Below are some common requests.

  • Design Requests: Include desired format (brochure, poster, etc.), all wording and images, due date, and quantity.
  • Print Requests: Comms can print many of your small run print requests in house, but for slightly larger jobs (programs for large events, posters, etc) there are a few places on campus you can use:
    • Engineering Copy Center: Color and Black & White Copies; Poster printing/mounting; Covers, Labels & Tabs; Booklet Stapling up to 11″ x 17″; Stapling, Folding, Binding; After-hours and Rush Services
    • Terrapin Learning Commons (McKeldin): Printing, binding, poster printing up to 48″ (no mounting), faxing
  • Promoting Your Event: Comms can advertise events to help generate attendance. Comms can also provide support for creating/printing signage and day-of photography. (Note: If you would like support in organizing your event, such as room reservations, catering, swag give-aways, or setting up a webinar, please contact the college’s Events Team at infoevents@umd.edu.)
  • Requests to Share or Write News: Include any details and links, explain how this is connected to the INFO College (e.g. you are the PI), attach any pictures.
  • Swag Orders: The college has a limited budget and swag supply to support student recruitment, development, events, and gifts. Requests for items from the college supply can be made by emailing sgrun@umd.edu. If you have a separate budget (such as a research group) to cover a swag order, please email infocomm@umd.edu to design and facilitate an order for you.
