Communications
The INFO Comms Team supports and leads college communications and marketing, inclusive of student recruitment advertising, crisis communications, social media and news channels management, and PR.
The INFO Comms Team also provides support to the college’s faculty and staff in achieving their marcomm goals.
Support of ad hoc requests will be determined based on available resources, timing (2-4 week lead time needed), and priority alignment.

- Share or Write News
- Swag Orders/Needs
- Website Update (For Intranet Updates, Contact the INFO IT Team)
- Directory Update/Addition: Complete the Directory Profile Form
Flyer Policy: Posting flyers/signage in INFO spaces is only allowed if they are from a UMD unit/group and promote free, public opportunities of interest to INFO faculty, staff, or students, i.e. related to information science topics, career resources, or social activities. Any flyers that do not comply with this will be removed without discussion. If flyers meet these requirements, you do not need to seek pre-approval. If you would like to check if a flyer is acceptable in advance, please email infocomm@umd.edu.
