Who Can Reserve
π« What Rooms and Times?
- This applies to rooms owned by the INFO College.
- Rooms may be used during the hours the INFO Service Desk is staffed.
- Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM, excluding holidays.
ποΈ How to Reserve
- Reservations can be requested by emailing infofm@umd.edu.
- Include:
- Date, start time, and end time
- Expected attendance
- Audio visual needs (projection, Zoom, etc.)
- Plans to serve food
- Name of the group
- Name and email of the group member who will be responsible for the space
π During Your Reservation
- π If the room is locked, obtain a key from the INFO Service Desk in the basement of Hornbake Library.
- π₯ The responsible group member must be present for the entire reservation.
- π Keep noise at a respectful level for nearby rooms.
- π₯οΈ If you’re using the room’s audio/visual equipment and you experience problems, call 301-405-5259.
π§Ή After Your Reservation
- Leave the room clean and ready for the next group:
- ποΈ Remove trash.
- πͺ Return furniture to its original setup.
- ποΈ Erase boards.
- π Report any damage or problems to infofm@umd.edu.
π« Not Allowed
- Personal parties or outside business activities.
- Storing belongings in the room outside reservation times.
- Moving or tampering with technology or equipment.
- Exceeding posted room capacity.
β οΈ Reminders
- Some rooms may restrict food and drinkβcheck specific room policies.
- Academic classes and official university events have priority.
- Misuse of rooms may result in loss of reservation privileges.
