Designing Your Online Class

If you are beginning the process of creating a new online course, or are working to convert an in-person course online, there are many resources available at the University.

• For many resources from Learning Technologies on designing an online course, please visit http://it.umd.edu/design
• Watch the Web-Based Content Design Tutorial (via Learning Technologies) and then organize your course content.
• Map out the module-by-module content development plan using the Module Development Template (via Learning Technologies).
• Use the eLearning Quality Assurance Checklist (via Learning Technologies) to check and make sure your course meets the basic requirements and includes all necessary components.
