Track I: ERIC Incubator (ERIC-I)
Track I: ERIC Incubator (ERIC-I) involves at least 2 full-time faculty members with a primary appointment in INFO with research responsibilities.
Faculty interested in developing an ERIC-E will initially apply to this Incubator Track. Incubation involves regular meetings of the ERIC-I leadership team with the Research Support Team to jointly develop the plans and capabilities required to launch a Track II: ERIC-Established (ERIC-E). This phase includes:
- Scheduling and managing regular group meetings to identify and align interests
- Planning activities for communicating and coordinating research
- Planning public events
- Building a robust web and social media presence
The College will provide the following for:
- Direct costs of carrying out the proposed activities (up to $1k/year)
- Administrative support for carrying out the proposed activities (up to 2 hrs/week)
- IT infrastructure for collaboration, web, and social media presence
